IntelliPath, a highly customizable instructional management tool, facilitates the creation of in-depth, individualized Learning Paths for students, groups, and classes by integrating assessment results, approved educational standards, lesson development, curricular content and reporting into one comprehensive, yet manageable system.

How IntelliPath Works

1. Assess students directly through IntelliPath using one or more of the over 160 premade assessments provided, create your own assessments using the thousands of standards-aligned test questions available in the HOSTS database, or work with HOSTS to have your existing assessment data loaded into IntelliPath.

2. Inventory existing district/school resources into IntelliPath, creating a robust and unique tool for aligning resources to student needs and maximizing use of materials already owned.

3. Create appropriate classes and/or groups and sub-groups of students using IntelliPath’s robust Student Management tool.

4. Assign and deliver assessments to individual students, groups of students or whole classes. Using student logins, students may take assessments online. Results are automatically recorded and analyzed directly within IntelliPath for immediate use in the creation of Learning Paths.

5. Utilize assessment results to create individualized Learning Paths which are aligned to state standards and NCLB reporting requirements and which specifically target students’ academic deficiencies, enabling educators to provide highly informed and differentiated instruction to maximize student achievement and use of a district’s existing resources.

6. Save and print individualized Learning Paths over the course of the school year. Multiple educators may contribute to an individual Learning Path, allowing for uniquely powerful collaborative opportunities.

IntelliPath employs next-generation technology and utilizes the HOSTS instructional database aligned with more than 50,000 core and supplemental curriculum and learning resources. IntelliPath connects your state's or district's formative and/or summative assessment data with the existing curriculum and instructional resources available in your district to create customizable Learning Paths for each student to a precise level of detail. With this "just in time" information on hand, teachers can manage their students' learning needs through flexible groups of through individualized instruction to best help meet their learning objectives.

Powerful Cross-Referencing

The HOSTS database contains numerous resources covering hundreds of discrete skills. These resources appear in the database after being carefully analyzed by experienced educators. Cross-referencing requires someone who has expert knowledge of the subject area to be able to match assignments in educational resources to the HOSTS Profile of Objectives.

Criteria for Selection

Prior to being cross-referenced to the HOSTS resource database, each resource under consideration must pass a set of prequalification standards designed to determine whether or not the material will meet the needs of the students, teachers, or mentors.

Pre-qualification analysis criteria:

1. The resource must be easy for mentors or teachers to use and understand.

2. The resource must be free of stereotyping and bias.

3. The resource must be appropriate in content and format for the intended audience.

4. The resource must teach to specific objectives.

5. The resource must teach each lesson in a clear, concise manner, with a distraction-free format.

6. The resource must provide sufficient items or content for adequate practice of the skill being taught.

7. If the resource is software based, it must be user friendly and multi-platform capable.

8. At least 60% of the material in the resource must be related to skills contained in the HOSTS Profile of Objectives.

9. At least 80% of the material in an assignment must be related to the specific HOSTS objective it is being cross-referenced to.
